Welcome to our bakery where we bake many from scratch baked goods!

All of our from scratch bakery is made with butter or olive oil, using no refined oils. Our whole grain breads are made with honey and flour that is fresh milled daily. You can truly taste the difference! Our bakery is committed to using high-quality and chemical-free ingredients. We do not use artificial flavorings or colors, hydrogenated oils, corn syrup or any chemical additives.

Our Bakery

History

Our old-time bakery has been making from scratch baked goods since March 2002. During that time, we only offered three varieties of bread: whole wheat, oat flax, and cinnamon raisin. Timothy and Nikki (Golden Harvest’s owners) made the bread themselves using an electric oven that they picked up for free and their wedding gifts which included baking pans, a KitchenAid mixer, measuring cups and other kitchen essentials. Brandon, who was hired on later that year as the head baker, helped them to prefect these bread recipes prior to them going on sale in our store.

In October 2002 when Brandon was hired, he added in many of the bread varieties that you have come to know and love today. In the winter of 2002, we also hired on two more bakers, Harmony and Angie (Timothy’s sisters), who helped us expand the bakery’s offerings into fruit pies and cookies.

Pauline (Nikki’s sister) was hired in 2008 as a dishwasher, but after a year of working with us, she began helping out with bread-making and soon after became a full-time baker.

In 2008, we also brought on Ezra (a childhood friend) who brought us his sourdough starter which we have been maintaining since to make lots of yummy sourdough varieties.

In 2014, Pauline switched from baking bread to making her own creations of cream pies and cheesecakes, which was her dream! All of the delicious cheesecakes and cream pies we offer today are thanks to Pauline, and now she has her own helpers to make the many varieties we continue to offer.

Today we offer over 15 different varieties of bread, rolls, and buns. We have over 30 cheesecake varieties and over 10 cream pie flavors! We also offer granola, granola bars, biscotti, muffins, cookies, bars and so much more! We are always making and taste-testing new recipes so you never know when you might find a new favorite among our baked goods, but one thing is for sure, our bakery section is a must-stop for any lover of made-from-scratch baked goods!
